Samantha Nagy

I seek out projects that cater to a variety of audiences and disciplines.  Each project brings new concepts to light that impact the others, which results in a rich toolbox of skills and techniques to draw from.

As an Independent Consultant...

I design and develop in-person and web-based instructional materials for corporations, entrepreneurs, and educators. My approach places performance optimization at the forefront by balancing pedagogy with incentive and environmental interventions. Calculating impact is crucial, so I design and facilitate evaluation and assessment plans to measure changes in learning, behavior and ROI

As a Tour Guide with Food Tour Corporation...

I guided visitors through a series of local restaurants and landmarks while sharing cultural, historic and culinary information. I got to pick up every tid-bit about Maryland history I could get my hands on and weave it into a captivating tale!

As a Public Health Associate with the CDC...

I was a field assignee with concentrations in infectious disease epidemiology and emergency management that provided technical support to state and local governmental entities. In addition to disease surveillance and investigation I also developed eLearning, facilitated stakeholder workshops, and created community presentations.

In other roles I have

  • Facilitated tobacco-use prevention campaigns for children, teens, and young adults through community outreach events and high school education programs.

  • Conducted research used to bolster testimony before state legislators, resulting in passage of a law that gives state cosmetology regulatory agencies more power to protect the public’s health

  • Created and maintained social media presence for a small business, garnering hundreds of followers soon after launch, broadening awareness of services to directly impact sales

  • Designed and executed week-long art camps for kids aged 6-13
